A western restaurant in the northeast corner of the city, usually mainly steak, mainly bars at night, Western people are the main consumer, the steak here is not suitable for Chinese taste.

After a crazy time trying to find a place to eat we decided on Chop. We got in right away for being so last minute. I had the crab cakes for my appy, didn&#39;t care for the corn in it but I miss read it. Truly enjoyed my sirloin with lobster topper. Also tried a glass of the Zinfandel by J Lohr.

The Chop Steakhouse &amp; Bar is a traditional steak house with a bit of a modern decor. It is dark and the tables and booths are reasonably private. They have all the usual red meat selections but my friend and I each had fish. Even though Winnipeg is in the middle of the continent, we both ordered ocean fish. I had salmon. It came with vegetables and your choice of potatoes or rice. The fish was fresh and the sauce was tasty. All in all it was a pretty good meal. The waiter was attentive and the good came quickly. If you are ever staying get near the airport in Winnipeg, give the Chop Steakhouse &amp; Bar a try.

Took some clients for a dinner meeting. The service was great very friendly and polite The steaks were over cooked and the prime rib was also over done. For a restaurant that specializes in steak. Not so good

The food is good. The service is adequate, but the biggest surprise was that the portions were small which you wouldn&#39;t necessarily expect with the big price tag. I am definitely not a delicate eater, and I can out eat most guys so I appreciate a good portion size and have to say that I was disappointed upon arrival of my order. Read other reviews, and they&#39;ll be similar. I will say this...for the industrial, grungy airport area it is located in, it is a pleasant surprise to dine there. However, you may want to consider other restaurants who are similarly priced, but bigger portions.
